Underworld: Blood wars (2016)

underworld blood wars

Underworld: Blood Wars is a 2016 action-horror thriller film directed by Anna Foerster (her first feature film). It stars Kate Beckinsale as she returns to her role as the popular vampire assassin Selene.

In this movie, both vampires and werewolves are hunting Selene. The vampires are seeking justice for the death of Viktor at the hands of Selene, and the Lycans looking for Eve who is her daughter and whose blood holds the key to building an army of hybrid vampire-werewolf which are unstoppable.

The Underworld films were really great in general. The lore had a fascinating premise and the characters were interesting enough and each movie brought about something new to the franchise. Kate Beckinsdale’s return was badly needed and with her missing in Underworld: Rise of the Lycans the franchise really lost steam.
